You want to use social for your business, but where should you start? Why should you be on social in the first place? Do you need some easy-to-use tips and tricks to improve or create strong social media campaigns?

The Consultants’ Community hosted a panel on this at B2B Expo on Sunday the 13th May and the answer to this complicated question was very simple: be authentic.

There are lots of ways to promote what you do but being authentic needs to be at the core. Everything you do on social media needs to represent who you are as a brand and when a customer interacts with you they need to feel they are having an authentic experience.

Don’t commit to more social media channels than you can handle and don’t rely solely on automation. Unless your personal brand and business brand are closely linked make sure to separate them online and remember that what goes on social media stays on social media.

So to maintain a strong presence work within your capabilities, be authentic and think before you post.
